How it Works
Trauma
If you have previously sought therapy for trauma, you may have found that it takes a long time, is very painful as you are made to relive your worst experiences, and often doesn't work. Many people drop out of trauma therapy because of how painful it is. The method I use never involves reliving your traumatic event and uses memory reconsolidation to process the memory and push it into storage where it belongs, so that it feels more like a story you once heard rather than something you're still living through. This takes one to three sessions, and then it's done. I have experienced this first hand for several traumatic events, and none of them affect me at all anymore.

Grief
Many people who are grieving are told to write goodbye letters to their loved one as their mind is stuck seeking a connection in a way that is impossible, but our loved ones do not disappear when they transition. They simply transition! I give new ways of looking at death with the intention of connecting you to your loved one in a way that is possible, so you can feel the love that is still very much alive. This can be experienced as very mystical and healing and is best for people who already have a sense of spirituality.

Anxiety
Common suggestions for anxiety are to imagine yourself in a peaceful place or perhaps to use the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique. Although these techniques can be somewhat helpful to some people, I found that they were not able to lessen my anxiety. With me, we will use stories, metaphors, and some ways of looking at things to cause a powerful, lasting change to significantly lessen anxiety permanently without any conscious effort. It is easy and entertaining, and the effects feel like magic because there's nothing you need to do.

Panic attacks
In one of my undergraduate psychology classes, I learned that panic attacks are what the mental health community is the worst at treating. I used to get panic attacks whenever I felt too overwhelmed, saw my own blood, or came into contact with needles. After one session of the specific method I use four years ago, I never had a panic attack again. A session for panic attacks starts like an anxiety session but ends with me teaching you a tool to use to immediately stop panic attacks right as you feel they might begin. After my session, it was initially much less frequent that I would feel a panic attack begin and need to use the tool, and now it never happens at all.
